The first Fiesta appeared in the range of Ford models in 1976. Now, the fourth generation of the model, which debuted in Frankfurt/Main in 2001, is produced. The 5-door version presented there was supplemented with a 3-door variant shown a year later in Paris. At the end of 2003, the interior of the vehicle was slightly changed. The basic 1.3-liter engine develops 60 or 70 hp, while the more modern 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter plants – 80 and 100 hp, respectively. The Fiesta is also offered with 1.4-liter 68 hp and 1.6-liter 90 hp diesel engines, designed in cooperation with the French PSA. At the end of 2004, the range of models was expanded with the sports ST version, equipped with a 2.0-liter 150 hp engine, and offered in a 3-door body only.
