The success of compact minivans on the European market forced Ford to develop a design of its own. As a prototype, the vehicle was presented in Paris in 2002, while the production version was shown in Geneva in 2003. In the car, a new floor panel designed for numerous new models by the Ford concern, as well as plenty of subsystems of the Focus, were employed. The vehicle can take five passengers, and after the middle seat in the backseat is folded down, it ensures riding comfort for four people. The range of engines comprises petrol units: a 1.6-liter 100 or 115 hp, a 1.8-liter 125 hp, a 2.0-liter 145 hp engine, as well as the following diesel units: a 6-liter TDCi 90 109 hp and a 2.0-liter TDCi 136 hp plant.
