C-Class models were presented in 1993. The second generation came out in the middle of 2000 with the sedan version, followed by the estate body version in the spring of 2001. Like the Sportcoupe, the sedan and the station wagon were modernized at the beginning of 2004. In the C 180, C 200 and C 200 CGI versions, the vehicle is driven by a 1.8-liter, mechanically turbocharged unit. In the C230 model, a 2.5-liter 204 hp V6 engine is mounted. At the beginning of 2005, the C 280 and C 350 versions came out, driven by the new 3.0-liter 231 hp V6 and 3.5-liter 272 hp V6 engines, fitted upon request with four-wheel 4Matic drive. The 2.2-liter diesel engine of 122 hp is fitted in the C 200 CDI model, and of 150 hp in the C 220 CDI model. Since the beginning of 2005, the offer has included the C 320 CDI version with a new diesel engine of a 3.0-liter capacity and 224 hp. The sports C 55 version with a powerful 5.4-liter 367 hp V8 power plant has been developed by AMG.
