Geneva was the site of the premiere of the sports Opel called the Tigra Twin Top in 2004. The name of the vehicle derives from its folded roof which, thanks to a special mechanism, transforms the vehicle from a closed coupe into an open cabrio within just 18 seconds. The vehicle employs the floor panel and lots of other technical solutions known from the Corsa, and comes with a 1.4-liter 90 hp or a 1.8-liter 125 hp engine, as well as with the dynamic yet economical 1.3-liter CTDi unit of 70 hp, introduced to the model at the beginning of 2005.
