The Zafira, presented in 1997, is one of the best- -selling compact minivans on the European market. The second generation of this model had its premiere at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle is produced at Opel plants in Germany and Poland. In comparison to the preceeding model, it is somewhat larger, with seats for seven people in three rows, and the two seats in the last row can be fully folded. The design of this compact minivan derives from the Astra III, and the range of engines coming with the new Zafira includes the following: 1.6-liter 105 hp, 1.8-liter 136 hp, 2.2-liter 150 hp, and 2.0-liter Turbo 200 hp petrol engines, as well as 1.9-liter CDTi of 100, 120 or 150 hp, and 2.2-liter DTI 125 hp diesel power plants. The offer also includes a sports Zafira OPC with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 240 hp engine, whose performance corresponds to those of sports cars.
