The Vectra has been produced since 1988. The currently available third generation model debuted in Geneva in 2002. The new body harbingered the complete revival of the brand, now employing modern technical solutions. The vehicle comes in a sedan body version slightly modernized at the end of 2004, and in a 5-door GTS version equipped with sporty elements of interior design. In 2003, the estate body version, with a 13-centimeter greater wheelbase, was introduced. The range of engines in the Vectra is wide, and now comprises petrol units: a 1.6-liter 100 hp, a 1.8-liter 122 hp, a 2.0-liter Turbo 175 hp, a 2.2-liter 155 hp with direct fuel injection, and 3.2-liter 211 hp V6 engines. Diesel plants are also offered: 1.9-liter CDTi of 120 or 150 hp, 2.2-liter DTI 125 hp, and 3.0-liter CDTi 177 hp V6 plants.
